Gather your supplies,
apron,
Abba in your loungeroom - loud
2 cups of s.r. flour,
2 Tbsp castor sugar,
2 Tbsp milo,
2 eggs,
1 1/2 cups milk
*Well I can dance with you honey
if you think it's funny
does your mother know
that you're out
and I can chat with you baby
flirt a little maybe
does your mother know
that you're out*
if you think it's funny
does your mother know
that you're out
and I can chat with you baby
flirt a little maybe
does your mother know
that you're out*
Sift dry ingredients, combine milk and beaten egg, pour the wet into
the dry and mix until smooth and well combined.
*Waiting for the sunrise, soul dancing in the dark
Summer night city
Walking in the moonlight, love-making in a park
Summer night city*
Summer night city
Walking in the moonlight, love-making in a park
Summer night city*
Dollop of butter melted in pan.
I used a soup spoon to drop spoonfulls into pan.
When little bubbles appear it's time to flip over.
*I can still recall our last summer
I still see it all
Walks along the Seine, laughing in the rain
Our last summer
Memories that remain*
I still see it all
Walks along the Seine, laughing in the rain
Our last summer
Memories that remain*
You now have afternoon tea for your little ones in about 10mins, and if you are lucky and hide some in another container, you will have morning tea to pack for them tomorrow. *giggle* shhhhhhh. These are lovely just made fresh or with a dob of jam.
oh this batch made up I think about 48 piklets, hmmmm, I ate some (!)
I am not sure they are just perfect, I thought they would taste more *milo-y*, so next batch I think I will just do 1 Tbsp of castor sugar and 3 Tbsps of Milo. I promise I will share.
*You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
Ooo.. see that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the Dancing Queen*
Ooo.. see that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the Dancing Queen*
As for confessions of a bad student, *sigh* what can I say, I am so not motivated, I just don't see the point in trying, however, I am a good Mummy, so surely that evens up the bar. My house is tidy, there is afternoon tea for my darlings, I have paid bills, tended to housework and other necessary duties as a Mum.
Study, schmuddy.
*Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me*

Here's something you probably didn't know about me. I know it's a bit of a sad song to finish my post on, but that is what is currently playing and is one of my favourite Abba songs, such a beautiful song, it makes me cry, but I love the lyrics, I love the instrumental, I love the singing.
*Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong
you're enchained by
your own sorrow
in your eyes
there is no hope for tomorrow
how I hate to see you like this
there is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're
oh so sad, so quiet*
you're enchained by
your own sorrow
in your eyes
there is no hope for tomorrow
how I hate to see you like this
there is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're
oh so sad, so quiet*
Thank you so much for stopping by. xx

what are you studying Joyce??? Yum pikelets! if I hadn't just eaten a piece of cake, I'd want some!!!
lol supposed to be studying Teachers Aide. I am very very naughty. Oh the pikelets were a hit and I managed to salvage some for lunchboxes tomorrow. Ohhhh cake, I like cake too. What kind? lol
OOh you're making me feel hungry!!
I'm so pleased you enjoyed seeing your squares. Sadly the flowers are going off. They usually last me through to end of September but I dont think they will. Its the heat and the rain we've had ruined them all.
We've been singing along with you today!
Great post,
Hugs Suex
and....a big thank you Joyce for the fantastic fantastic squares!!!!
I believe being a good mommie trumps everything.
hi Sue, thanks so much. I am guessing the weather at your place is beginning to cool now? I could smell spring in the air this morning for the first time and oh it was just lovely. I have been outside when I got home to try and catch another 'whiff', but it must have just been that early morning tease. lol. I hope your flowers have one last special burst before it gets too cool. They feature so beautifully in your photos.
Thanks Posy Linda, I do tend to agree, however, going to pull out the books today and get a bit more done. Time to be a good girl for just one day, maybe. lol.
