Retail Therapy - Gotta love it!

I find it hard to beat, sitting at my computer, in my jammies, glass of wine, surrounded by photos of my boys, doing a little retail therapy. Let those fingers do the walking.

New Year's Resolution number 2 underway. Get those pages scrapped. Step 1 - going through photos to be scrapped, and shopping - lol yes, shopping, for the papers to go with the photos. *sigh* shopping, shopping, shopping. So good for the soul. Oh and the glass of wine to boot, what a bonus!

Check out www.annascraftcupboard.com.au for some great papers, she has a huge sale on which ends this weekend. Heaps of great scrapping and cardmaking goodies for sale. So make your resolution to get your pages scrapped and visit Anna for some inspiration.

New Year Resolution - The First One

Yes, I have a few resolutions, but my most important and main resolution for 2010 is to be part of the Leukaemia Foundation Shave for a Cure. My hubbie did the shave about 5 years ago now, and since he and his workmates raised some wonderful cash, I thought I would like to also one day do the shave.

As usual, 'one day' has become 5 years later, however, my hair is now long enough that I can not only shave it, but donate it for wig-making OR if someone would like to purchase my locks, they are more than welcome to pay for it, which the money will also go to the Leukaemia Foundation. My hair hasn't been permed, treated, coloured, or henna for approximately 4 years now. (and Yes!, it's driving me crazy.)

It's only hair, it will grow back, but the money raised for the Leukaemia Foundation will go towards helping a family with respite, paying for nursing care, paying for studies to continue that hopefully one day a cure can be found. Please visit my page and donate - every dollar counts.

I have also made little notelet packs that I am selling on madeit.com.au. $1.00 from each pack is being donated to my shave fundraising. Here is a pic of some of my sets.

So far just through friends and gift giving, I have gotten a few orders, which has been wonderful, so I decided to expand my horizons and take them 'out there'. If you purchase these straight from me, the cost is $3.00 per set or 10 sets for $20.00. ($1.00 from each set, still goes to the Leukaemia Foundation) Postage will be worked out depending on destination and number ordered.

Thank you for your support.

Rum Balls for Santa

It's Christmas Eve and there is much excitement at our house and I am sure, your house too.

We have made rum balls for Santa this year to have with his cuppa/glass of milk. Hmmmm, the smell of raisins soaking up all that rum filling the house with the smell of Christmas.

From our house to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas.

What are YOU leaving out for Santa to snack on this year??

'little dude' is your name.

'Mum, Mum, shhhhhhh, quick!!' An excited high pitch whisper (!). I rushed over to the window sill to see 'little dude' peeking in at my boys lego blocks. Managed to take this photo with my pocket digital camera, sorry it's a bit dark, took off the flash so I didn't blind our little friend.

'He's a cool little dude, hey Mum!' lol, yes, honey he sure is.

Just after that, at the clothes line, bringing the dry stuff in, and hanging more freshly washed stuff out *sigh* there's little dude up the bricks down the side of the house. So this time, I got the digital SLR and managed to get closer without crowding 'little dude's' space. Here are some pics. The one with his head turned right around is the moment my neighbour come out to her back deck, he didn't move other than his little head. We have seen a bigger version, so I am hoping we have a little family moved in somewhere.

My neighbour and I think it's a water dragon, can anyone clarify this please? Oh, maybe 'he' is a 'she' cause normally the males have more colouring (?) again not entirely sure on this.

Tracking Santa

Only 4 sleeps til the jolly fellow and his trusty reindeer fly through the skies to bring goodies to kids big and small all over the world. We certainly hope Santa is keeping well and have been checking his progress here - http://www.noradsanta.org/en/index.html

Here are some goodies we have been making. We hope Rudolph likes them, cause we certainly did.
